I Cronicles 4:9-10 (Revised Standard Version), “Jabez was more honorable than his brothers; and his mother called his name Jabez, saying, “Because I bore him in pain.” Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, “Oh that though wouldst bless me and enlarge my border, and that thy hand might be with me, and that though wouldst keep me from harm so that it might not hurt me!” And God granted what he asked.

The best demonstration of stewardship to the world is being what God called you to be. Jabez’s Mother named him sorrow,  but God called him blessed.

Delays Are Not Denials

A few years ago on my birthday, I woke up a little disappointed.  I was disappointed because I was feeling that at my age, I should be further along in some areas of my life than I am. I can admit that. As I sat to write in my journal, I was quickly reminded of this one thing:  Delays Are Not Denials!

“All things work together and are [fitting into a plan] for good…” Romans 8:28 (AMP)

He Is There All The Time

Isaiah 43: 1-7

“2 When you pass through the waters, I will be with you,  and through the rivers, they will not overwhelm you.   When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned or scorched, nor will the flame kindle upon you.

When people are treating you bad, He is there; When you are umployed, underemployed, and looking for a job and cannot find one, He is there; When the mortgage is due, and money is low, He is there; and When you are sick in your body,  He is there.

God has made us a promise that no matter what He is with us all the time.   Wherever you find yourself, He is there and all is well.

2 Kings 7:3-8

“If you do not claim your blessings, it is no one’s fault except your own. ”

There were 4 gentlemen with leprosy, and they were faced with a dilemma.  They could stay where they were and die or move and live. So, they devised a plan of action and moved on it.  What did they have to loose?  They were already considered outcast and we’re dealing with the enemies of lack and not enough.  Why not take the risk?

Just as these gentlemen did in 2 Kings chapter 7, we have to be willing to weigh our options and take the risk.  Obviously, the lepers’ situation was not working for them; so, they had to make some changes.  They had to get up and move.

Power To Perceive, Part 2

Numbers 13

“And The Lord said to Moses, 2Send men to explore and scout (for yourselves) the land of Canaan, which I give to the Israelites.  From each tribe of their fathers you shall send a man, everyone one a leader or head among them. 3So Moses by the command of the Lord sent scouts from the Wilderness of Paran, all of them men who were heads of the Israelites.”

In Numbers 13, Moses has been given a command by God to send out scouts to explore the land that He is planning to give to them.  Well, the men go out and bring back a report to Moses on what they saw.  The land was good; however, there some inhabitants that were not the most friendliest people, which concerned the scouts.  In verse 30, Caleb speaks up and does his best to assure everyone that they as a group are more than capable of possessing the land promised to them, but the others are not so sure.

God had already promised the land to them; so, it was already theirs to take, but they could not see past the present circumstances at that time.  Just because you are in a dry place in your life right now does not mean that God  does not have something great for your life especially if He has already made a promise to you.  God does not go back on His word.

You can tell your greatest  through the level of your challenge- greater the attack greater the significance.  Think of it this way- Your misery is your message; your suffering is your sermon.  God may not have called your to preach, but He has called you to witness.

Remember you only see obstacles when you take your focus off your vision.

I use to laugh and sometimes get upset at my grandfather because it seemed like everywhere we went, he knew someone.  Now years later, that very thing happens to me (be careful of what you laugh at).

So, I am encouraging you on today and everyday to make an effort to meet people. Let them know how wonderful you are as a person, how wonderful your services and products are, and why they should have you at their next function(s).  By far, you are your best salesperson.

The next person you meet may have the answer to your million dollar idea.
